Econ Club | Meeting No. 1
Thursday, October 1, 2026 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Join The Margin, CCP's longest-running econ club, for our inaugural meeting.
Why do eggs cost what they cost? Or rent, tuition, or NVDA? The Margin is for students who want to know, and students who think they already do. Come disagree with us this Thursday, and every other Thursday thereafter.
Why: Economics can feel abstract. It's not. Economics is alive. It's everywhere and everything, and whether you know it or not, whether you like it or not, it doesn't just affect you. You're implicated. Who: Socialists, capitalists, libertarians, progressives, and everyone in between. You don't need to be a business major or like numbers. You just need to live in an economy and wonder why.Bring: A smart question. A stupid question. An unpopular opinion. A complaint about ticket prices (Eagles, movie, parking, lottery…). A stock portfolio or a grocery receipt. (Almost anything gets you through the door.)Leave at the door: Finance-bro cosplay and expectations about what an econ club should be.
Hosted by: The Margin
